Which rotation and seal do I need?
Look at the pump shaft: clockwise is CW, counter-clockwise is CCW — the wrong rotation will not prime. A mechanical seal runs drip-free; a rope (packing) seal weeps by design and is field-serviceable. Replace like for like unless you are converting. Not sure?
